Haiti in My Heart is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders in Haiti through access to education.

Our mission is to relieve poverty and provide opportunities for and access to education in Haiti.  

 

Our vision is a country where access to education is free, and children stay in school until graduating High School.

Our focus is to foster the enrollment of young children in school in Haiti, remove barriers that prevent students from experiencing a disrupted or discontinued education, and transitioning our students into young adulthood through work, a trade, marketable skill, or further education.

We operate a school, Institute Mixte Remax in Montrouis, Haiti, a community-based school located on the west coast of Haiti.    Our school provides  an education to 300 children Preschool through to grade 9.  Students are provided all they need to succeed at school: tuition, books and supplies, uniform.   This is made possible through generous donors throughout Canada and the U.S.A.

 

We provide a daily meal to our staff and students during the school year - nearly 66,000 meals each year.

We also support our school families with basic necessities, providing family meal kits of non-perishable food, when the school is closed during the Christmas break.
