Boxing Day! In a little over two weeks - Jan 11th - I travel to Haiti to visit our school - Institute Mixte Remax - the staff and students, in Montrouis, Haiti.
While there, we'll work on projects with the students, photograph and visit with the teachers, staff, and students. In the afternoons, we'll visit other colleagues' projects - did you know there are at least 4 other organizations in the Okanagan that also work in Haiti?! - and shop for unique and locally made products for HIMH's Haitian Marketplace.
Possible new and exciting projects are in the works for HIMH in 2019, and I'll also spend time viewing sites and talking with our Haitian partners to consider the feasibility and logistics of these projects.
