HIMH Regular Donor

“Supporting educational opportunities and providing food is critical to developing skills.”

Mary’s first gift for Haiti was immediately after Hurricane Matthew tore through the country in October 2016.   Since that first gift, Mary has been a regular donor, sharing her generosity to purchase books and uniforms for our students, build the 10 tap handwashing station during the height of the Covid pandemic, and help us each December secure the daily meals for our staff and students for our School Feeding Program, Meals for Minds.

Mary shares, “it is my hope that my support gives encouragement to the children and staff to continue to do their best.  Donations I make are to demonstrate that others care; and I’m always blessed by the children and staffs’ enthusiasm.”

Mary continues to support HIMH and our staff and students because she believes that the funds raised encourages the teachers at the school, which helps the students want to achieve a better life and know that doors of opportunity can be opened to them.

She is so proud to be part of a community where children grow in knowledge and love, she talks to her friends and family about HIMH and the school, and encourages others to donate, too!
