Giving Tuesday is a National Day of Giving

Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

GivingTuesday is held after the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend, on November 27, 2018.

It is a new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday.

The “Opening day of the giving season,” it is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to

share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.

FEED A FAMILY

AT HIMH, Giving Tuesday kicks off our annual December campaign to provide food security for our students and their families.

Each of our school families receives a food package containing rice, beans, cooking oil, and spices,

allocated according to need and family size.

Last year, funds were raised to provide 170 students and their families with meals for 2-4 days (depending on family size).

Our school continues to grow and now includes three preschool/Kindergarten classes and grades 1-7!

This year's goal is to raise $3,000!
